Fry's is a chain of appliance stores masquerading as electronics and computer stores. Fry's is known for fairly good prices, stunningly bad service, and interesting architecture. 2
As a consumer, I am appalled that I was treated so rudely and inappropriately by the customer service staff. When I originally made the purchases, the sales clerk was clear about telling me that I had so many days time to return the merchandise.

I highly recommend coming in with your homework done, as customer service is chaotic and frustrating. Don't bother with the warranty, because you NEVER want to deal with their customer service and repair division, which is just a run-around distributor, specializing in excuses. Also repair coordinator could not get the senior service manager Mr. Browning to return her phone calls.

Lines are often long, and customer service can be tough to grab, though they are known for being rather helpful when you do reach them. The selection is truly enormous, far bigger than at a Best Buy or Good Guys, but an experience here can be overwhelming, and can feel akin to stumbling into a warehouse.

I am not kidding you, as I wait in this line at the electronics store to pay, I passed by displays of pantyhose, dental floss, toothpaste, bubblegum, chocolates . I thought this was an electronics store and all of a sudden I feel like I'm at Walmart.

I waited ten minutes to get the hard drive I wanted, the salesman took another ten minutes to process my request, and it took another twenty minutes to get to the register, where they fulfilled the hard drive. The store ran out of that particular hard drive in the time it took for me to get to the register. Wait a minute, you locked your keys in your car. This is all we really have to know. Fry's initially would not provide us with any information because they said once the service call is reported to the warranty repair company, it's basically not their problem anymore, and that we just needed to wait. Their duty to the customer to ensure satisfaction and timely service ends, in their mind, when they report the service need to the warranty service provider.

No problem, I thought, so I picked up a magazine from the world's largest magazine rack and waited my turn. When I got to the register I was there for about 15 minutes. I asked to talk to a manager, but after waiting 10 minutes, got tired of waiting. On the way out, the receipt checking girl asked if everything had been OK.

I once went to this store to return something. I had to wait in the line for around half an hour and after I got my turn, it took another half hour for the person working with me to take my return.

The employees don't know anything though, so bring a real geek with you if you aren't one. UFO crashed into the front of the building > Western theme. Until this day I have not got my unit back and according to vendor was repair and send back to Fry's Electronics but their ?non so intelligent employees" return my GPS back to factory. God only knows when I will receive my unit back. As we messed around with a 30-inch Cinema Display, we ended up showing the employee some of our favorite Web tools, from Assetbar to FriendFeed . We showed off high-quality videos playing on our iPod Touch.
