A brief History of Frys Electronics mega store. It originally started in 1972 when Charles Frys sold his supermarket chains and gave each of his three sons a cut of the profit. They joined with a fourth partner in 1985 and opened their first store

The company was founded in 1985 when the very first Fry's Electronics store was opened in Sunnyvale, California. The tagline of the company is: "Your Best Buys are always at Fry's!"
Since then, it has expanded into more consumer-friendly stock with lots of televisions, VCRs, DVD players and camcorders, but it still is one of the best places to get motherboards, memory chips, computer cases and cables.
As the business expanded, it's first store closed down and the first themed stored was opened
